Venus conjunct Jupiter
As covered in our publication, When to Buy and When to Sell: Combining Easy Indicators, Charts, and Financial Astrology (available on Amazon), and our Planet Power – Venus blog, dated 7-20-24, the planet Venus plays a major role in the financial astrology arena. Venus symbolizes love and money, and its ingress into the sign of Cancer (representing the 4th house of the zodiac and ruled by the Moon), associates with the “home” and emotional attachment.
Venus in Cancer (as noted in our Trader Transits – Venus in Cancer blog, dated 7-21-25) signifies an increase in positive sentiment towards one’s home, family, and money, the latter of which needs to be controlled regarding spending and investments, while the planet Jupiter (also transiting Cancer), expands related energies and associates with abundance and luck.
This transit is considered to be favorable for financial gain, opportunity, and wealth accumulation, though one must be cautious. It is very important to keep one’s emotions from overflowing, and to avoid impulse actions related to the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and/or “falling in love” with a stock or investment (also discussed in our publication). Stay disciplined and be sure to follow your strategy and rules, despite the urge to “hit it big.”
This annual transit occurs in Gemini season in 2026, on June 9, during the time of year when equity markets tend to become more volatile, between Taurus and Cancer seasons - which are generally positive and calmer. The month of June, though not normally negative, does tend to experience enough volatility to be difficult for traders, with no clear direction. This year, there is also a new Mercury Retrograde period (when markets also tend to be very volatile), at the end of the month, when Jupiter changes signs to Leo at the same time. Given these circumstances, investments are likely to be a bit shaky during the month, and possibly into July. Traders should be ready and willing to take some profits on shorter trades, and do not rush into any investments or trades at cycle or all-time highs. The same applies to any real estate transactions, with Cancer’s symbolism of the home.
The previous Venus conjunction (meeting) with the planet Jupiter (the Great Benefic), often referred to as “the luckiest day(s)” of the year, occurred in the sign of Cancer on August 12th last year (discussed in our Trader Transit – Venus conjunct Jupiter blog, dated 8-4-25). The S&P 500 had a very strong day, gaining 72 points, as it did on the prior occasion in May of 2024 (in the sign of Taurus). Every year is different, of course, however, traders may be able to position themselves for short gains around this transit.
As we have discussed in the past, the themes of many transits and aspects tend to repeat themselves, and the energies can be felt for some time before the actual date of an event, and for a period after. As we also noted in our 7-20-24 blog, Venus (and Mercury) are associated more with swing-trading than longer-term investing, as they quickly move through signs.
