SIGN LANGUAGE

Introduction

As discussed in Chapter 4 of our publication, “When to Buy and When to Sell: Combining Easy Indicators, Charts, and Financial Astrology” (available on Amazon), the zodiacal signs are part of every individual and business birth charts, based on date and time of birth, incorporation, or first public trade date (on an equity index).

The zodiac is split up into 12 equal size signs and houses, with each having its own unique set of traits and energies. Each individual, or entity, has 3 birth signs, not one, and their personal chart begins at the Ascendant, aka Rising sign. The Ascendant is defined as the sign that was rising in the East at the exact time of creation, and is positioned in the 1st house of the personal chart. The houses then move counter-clockwise around the zodiac, until they reach the 12th house, completing the 1-year cycle.

The additional personal signs are known as the Sun (the sign most are familiar with based on the date of birth only), and the Moon, which simply refers to the sign position of the moon at the exact date and time of creation/birth.

Here is a visual of a blank chart. Note the 1st house normally begins on the lower left portion, and moves counter-clockwise around the wheel. Each unique chart would then have the planets and other entities filled inside the large spaces, just inside the numbers and outside the large circles. The small boxes around the outer edge of the circle are then filled in with the current planetary/entity positions, on any given date. The inside of the circle is then typically filled with the aspects between the same planets/entities, which include conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and more, also explained in our book. An example of a filled in chart will normally be found on our U.S. Stock Market blog posts.

The general zodiac wheel begins with the sign of Aries (as the 1st house), coinciding with the beginning of the Spring season (March 19-20), known as the vernal equinox. This time is known for new life as well as the end of winter. The zodiac ends with Pisces (as the 12th house), before repeating. Each sign is also ruled” by a specific planet, which basically means that the traits and energies exerted by that planet will be attributed to the signs/houses in which they appear. There are also additional variables which effect the different signs, such as Modalities (Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable), Elements (Fire, Earth, Air, and Water), among others, all of which is discussed in our book, and will be referred to in future blogs.

As also mentioned, the 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 11th are the financially focused houses, though others can have minor influences. On our website will periodically discuss these energies regarding the mundane (general collective) and the U.S. Stock Market chart. Stay tuned for future blog posts…

Finally, all birth/natal charts are unique, as every individual (or business) possesses its own set of planetary and sign positions in each house.
