SIGN LANGUAGE

Capricorn

As discussed in Chapter 4 of our publication, “When to Buy and When to Sell: “Combining Easy Indicators, Charts, and Financial Astrology” (available on Amazon), and our Sign Language – Introduction blog dated 3-24-24, the zodiacal signs are part of every individual and business birth chart, based on date and time of birth, incorporation, or first public trade date on an equity index.

As documented, the general/mundane zodiac begins with the sign of Aries (as the 1st house), and the houses then move counter-clockwise around the zodiac wheel, until they reach the 12th house, completing the cycle. Also noted is the fact that the 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 11th are the financially focused houses, though others can have minor influences. On our website we will periodically discuss these energies regarding the mundane/general collective and the U.S. Stock Market first trade date chart.

Today’s focus is the sign of Capricorn, which resides in the 10th house of the zodiac (based on the Aries Rising chart). Capricorn is an aspiration-themed sign, symbolized by the Goat, and is an earth, cardinal, female sign, ruled by the planet Saturn. This signs’ traits include ambition (similar to Sagittarius), though it is more based on hard work, realism, resiliency, and longer-term goals. As mentioned, whenever a specific sign “season” occurs, the Sun shines its energies and brings it to the forefront, and this Capricornseason” (when the Sun is traveling through the sign of Capricorn) runs from December 22, 2025 through January 19, 2026. Capricorn “season” always brings in the new year, and is the host for the annual “Santa Claus Rally,” that generally occurs at the end of the year in the U.S. equity markets.

The 10th is not generally one of the financially focused houses, however, it is associated with the Medium Coeli, or Midheaven (MC), of a birth chart, which represents the public image of a person or entity. This position symbolizes social standing/perception, career path, and success, and is officially the 10th house from the Rising Sign in a birth/creation chart, which can influence professional drive and ambition.

Capricorn is associated with trading and investing through hard work and discipline, not luck and pure speculation.

This Capricorn season contains a few interesting planetary aspects, including the ingress of Mars (Dec 15), Venus (Dec 24), and Mercury (Jan 1), whose energies will combine with the Sun. This suggests a reward for hard work and perseverance (Saturn), so be sure to perform your due diligence and not just guess at investments or trades.

In addition, the energies of the Uranus retrograde, located in the latter stages of Taurus (money), which lasts until April, 2026, and Jupiter retrograde, completing on March 11, 2026, will potentially affect Capricorn, as it has Sagittarius. Uranus is known as the great “disruptor” so watch for additional violent market swings and trend changes through Capricorn season, especially in technology and cryptocurrency related sectors.

Some sectors to watch for this Capricorn season as the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars occupy the sign, include retail, communications, financials, consumer discretionary, transportation, technology, and cryptocurrency. Taking some profits after any rallies, and holding cash for future opportunities, continues to be a strong consideration (for the time being), with the constant fluctuations in the markets.

Finally, all birth/natal charts are unique, and every individual (or business) possesses its own set of planetary and sign positions in each house.
