Uranus in Gemini

In the business world, it symbolizes higher-level technology, communications, education, and travel. Uranus is also known as the “great disruptor,” as it often reflects major fluctuations, reversal, and sudden, unexpected wild swings in the equities markets.
The sign of Gemini, an air sign ruled by Mercury (considered the lower octave of Uranus), also exudes communications and transportation energies. Uranus’ strong, mutable forces are suited for change, which likely continue to signify major technological advances through 2033. The Gemini zodiac is also symbolized by the Twins, which can sometimes signify harmony, but also suggests times of differing thoughts and opinions.
This planet is a “game-changer,” as also discussed in our Planet Power - Uranus in Gemini blog, dated 6-12-25. The Uranus/Gemini transit, officially resumes on Saturday, April 25, 2026, after a brief preview last Summer, and will last for 7 years, until 2033, after transiting the sign of Taurus (an Earth sign symbolizing money) for the past 7 years. During that time frame, we have seen significant developments in the financial arena, with the rise of Bitcoin, blockchain, automated trading, and digital assets. Uranus’ initial ingress into Gemini last summer was a precursor to what promises to be another stage of radical changes.
As we have discussed in the past, the themes of many transits and aspects tend to repeat themselves, and the energies can be felt for some time before and after the actual date of the event. A recent Uranus Retrograde, that began in early November, and ended in early February, saw unexpected market results, with massive volatility, especially in the technology heavy Nasdaq. During what has become the strongest month for stocks, November saw a surprising 1,000-point plunge in that index from November 10 through November 20, a sudden reversal and total recovery by December 10, then another substantial drop of 3,000 points in February and March.
Previous Uranus in Gemini transits have coincided with major military conflicts including World War II, the American Civil War, and the American Revolution. On this occasion, there are again several global conflict environments, including the United States, which affects world markets more than ever, but often results in a stock market boom after an initial drop. On the last occasion (1942-1949 – World War II) Uranus retrograded back to Taurus in 1942 as well, before finally entering Gemini on June 1, 1942. The first 4 years of the transit resulted in a major bull run in the S&P 500, before consolidating in the last 3.
Over the past few months, we have suggested caution, especially when attempting to “buy the dip” as high-flying stocks appeared to be “on sale.” We stressed that they could always go lower in the short term, which they have. If the ongoing global military conflict can be resolved, there is the likelihood of an ensuing rally, as market internals have already turned slightly upward. Uranus’ change of scenery could easily result in some change in sentiment later in the Spring as well. In the meantime, markets may rally on any hint of the conflict easing or ending. Be cautious not to FOMO into strong days with large positions until the dust settles.
